Pat Fogal

Pat Fogal grew up in Ardmore, PA and was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Ardmore from birth until she was confirmed into the Episcopal Church at Church of the Redeemer in Bryn Mawr. After graduating from college, she spent 20 years working as an academic librarian, having earned a Master of Library Science and a PhD in Higher Education. While working at the Pattee Library in Penn State, Pat undertook spiritual direction with an Episcopal priest and discerned a call to pastoral counseling. Under the auspices of the Diocese of Central Pennsylvania she attended the Diocesan School for Christian Studies and then in 1995 earned a Master of Science in Pastoral Counseling (including four units of Clinical Pastoral Education) at Loyola University in Baltimore. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor with certifications in addictions and clinical supervision. Pat is semi-retired and currently works part-time in a private group practice.

A major component of Pat’s spiritual journey has been music, starting with the junior choir at St. Paul’s in Ardmore. She has served as a chorister and soloist in a variety of Episcopal, Lutheran, and UCC churches as well as community choirs. Pat began attending COHS in January 2023 after she and her husband Bob moved into the Peter Becker Community in October 2022. Bob, also semi-retired, is a UCC minister currently serving a small congregation in Zieglerville. At COHS, Pat sings in the choir and serves as a lector, chalice bearer, member of the sacristy team, and a Licensed Eucharistic Visitor.
