Past Clergy

The Rev. Kathryn Andonian (June 2004 – June 2023)

Rev. Kathy was installed as the church’s second Vicar on June 10, 2004, following her ordination. When COHS transitioned from a Mission church to a full Parish in 2010, Rev. Kathy became the church’s first Rector.

Kathy led this congregation through 19 years of growth and development, developing many new programs for different segments of the congregation, including leading the teens on five pilgrimages to Holy sites in the UK, one every 3 or 4 years. Her time was marked by regular expansion and growth of the Christian Education program, and deepening ties to Lower Salford and the surrounding community.

Kathy was a guiding light leading us to our first building expansion while at the same time updating and renewing the sanctuary and transitioning to live-streamed services.

As part of her ministry Kathy also served as a leader in the Diocese of Pennsylvania. She served terms as Dean of the Valley Forge Deanery, deputy to the General Convention of the Episcopal Church, President of the Standing Committee, Vice-Chair of the Diocesan Council, as a Fresh Start mentor for new clergy, a member of the Commission on Ministry, chair of the Liturgical Commission, board member of the Philadelphia Theological Institute, and member of the Diocesan Consultation Team. She also served as a member and Vice-President of the Keystone Opportunity Center Board of Directors for ten years.

Kathy’s husband Marc and daughter Caitlin were always active and visible presences at COHS, participating in many church and Diocesan events and activities.

The Rev. Barbara Kelley (January 2001 - March 2004 )

Rev. Kelley served as Interim Vicar after Rev. Ritchings’ retirement, guiding the church through the growth and discernment needed to be ready to call the next Vicar

The Rev. F. Anne Ritchings (Dec 1993 - November 2001)

Rev. Ritchings was founding Vicar, helping to organize and plant the Mission that became Church of the Holy Spirit. She brought the initial group together, begged and borrowed furniture and materials and over time grew the small congregation from a storefront to a permanent church building.
